The MyGymDesk connector for Claude
MyGymDesk in Claude: the Claude connector for gym management
MyGymDesk's Claude connector puts your gym management software inside Claude. Find MyGymDesk in Claude's directory, sign in with your own login, and Claude gets 37 tools: 27 that only read, and 10 that make a change after a preview and your yes. Everything it sees and does follows your MyGymDesk role.
MyGymDesk is listed in Claude's connector directory.

What a Claude connector is
A Claude connector lets Claude use another app's tools during a chat. Connectors are built on the Model Context Protocol (MCP): the app runs an MCP server, Claude signs in to it, and from then on Claude can call the tools that server offers whenever your question needs them.
MyGymDesk's server is at https://mcp.mygymdesk.com/mcp. When you connect, Claude registers itself automatically and sends you to MyGymDesk's own consent page, which names your gym and your login, so you know exactly what you are connecting. Once you approve, Claude works with your MyGymDesk sign-in.
Because Claude uses your login, the connector sees what your role sees in the dashboard and makes only the changes your role can make there. An owner gets the whole business; a trainer gets their own personal training sessions.
Add the MyGymDesk Claude connector
From Claude's directory
- On claude.ai, open Customize → Connectors.
- Find MyGymDesk, or open claude.ai/directory/mygymdesk, and choose Connect.
- Sign in with your MyGymDesk login. If it works at more than one gym, pick the gym under “Which business?”.
- Choose Approve. You come back to Claude, connected.
As a custom connector
- In Customize → Connectors, choose +, then Add custom connector.
- Name it MyGymDesk and enter the URL https://mcp.mygymdesk.com/mcp.
- If Claude asks how it should identify itself, keep Register automatically and leave the client ID and client secret empty.
- Choose Add, then Connect, sign in and approve.
For a Claude Team or Enterprise organisation
An Owner adds the connector once, under Organization settings → Connectors (Add → Custom → Web), with the same name and URL. Each person then connects from Customize → Connectors with their own MyGymDesk login, so a manager and a trainer each get what their own role allows.
To use it, switch MyGymDesk on in a chat from + → Connectors.
The tools Claude gets
Claude groups a connector's tools by what they can do. MyGymDesk marks 27 tools as read-only and 10 as tools that write, and Claude lists them in those two groups under Tool permissions.
| Group in Claude | Tools | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Read-only: 17 reads | Who am I, Today at a glance, Member lookup, Expiring soon, Dues outstanding, Inactive members, Revenue and collections, Class schedule, PT summary, Leads and follow-ups, Renewals and churn risk, Staff on shift, Device status, Attendance report, Members report, Payments report, Expenses and profit | Each needs the same view permission as the matching screen, such as View members, View reports or View attendance. |
| Read-only: 10 previews | Preview: book a member into a class, and one preview for each of the other changes | Each works out one change in full (who, what, before and after, who is told) and changes nothing. |
| Write: 10 changes | Book a member into a class, Schedule a class session or a weekly series, Check a member in, Add a lead, Log a follow-up response, Extend a membership, Freeze a membership, Cancel a class session, Send a payment reminder, Create a WhatsApp template | Each needs the permission the change needs in the dashboard, and a preview from the last 10 minutes. |
Who am I is a handy first call: it tells you which login and which business Claude is connected to, and your role.
Tool permissions and approvals in Claude
Under Customize → Connectors → MyGymDesk → Tool permissions, each tool can be set to Always allow, Needs approval or Blocked. A custom connector starts with every tool on Needs approval, so Claude shows its card, with Allow once, Always allow and Decline, before each call.
One sensible setup is to set the 27 read-only tools to Always allow and keep the 10 write tools on Needs approval. You can also block any tool your team should never use from Claude.
MyGymDesk's own rules sit underneath Claude's. Every write starts with a preview that ends with “Shall I go ahead?”, and the write tool runs only after the user says yes. That holds for all ten, from a booking or a check-in to a class cancellation or a WhatsApp template. Setting a write tool to Always allow in Claude removes Claude's card, not MyGymDesk's question.
You: Send Prateek Sinha a payment reminder for BILL-2026-00005.
Claude's reply, summarised
Claude previewed a ₹7,000 reminder by WhatsApp and asked “Shall I go ahead?”
You: Yes.
What happened: The reminder went ahead only after that yes.
In a re-test on 5 Oct 2026, with Claude's card allowed once each time, Claude made nine changes, each from its own preview: a new class, a booking, a check-in, a lead and a follow-up note, then an extension, a freeze, a class cancellation and a payment reminder. Those last four each stopped at “Shall I go ahead?” and went ahead only after “Yes”.
Security and privacy
- Sign-in is your own MyGymDesk login, on MyGymDesk's consent page. Claude never sees your password.
- The business always comes from the sign-in. Asked for the revenue of another business by its id, Claude could see only the demo gym it was connected to.
- Member phone numbers are never shown in answers, and a new lead's phone appears only as its last four digits.
- Pay, commissions, bank and ID details, passwords, single expenses and payees never pass through the connector.
- MyGymDesk logs each tool call (the tool, the details it was given, the outcome and the time) and keeps no conversation text.
- End a connection from Claude, or from Connected AI apps in MyGymDesk; the next call is refused at once.
Section 5B of our privacy policy explains what the connector shares with the assistant and what MyGymDesk keeps.
