Is this the owner app or the employee app?

Both. It is one app. Sign in on the Owner / Admin tab to run payroll and approve requests, or on the Employee tab for your own attendance, payslips and leave.

Is the app free?

Yes, included with MGD Payroll.

Do I need an account?

Owners sign in with their MGD Payroll account. Employees are invited by their workplace and sign in with the mobile number or email it registered — employees cannot sign up on their own.

I do not have a password.

Employees never do. Choose the Employee tab and a one-time code is sent to your mobile or email.

Is my data safe?

All data is stored securely in India. Employees see only their own records.

Which plans include punch-in from the phone?

Punch-in from the phone, with GPS and a selfie, comes with Growth and Pro. On Starter, Growth and Pro, every employee gets payslips, attendance history, their schedule, leave and documents in the app, and owners run payroll and approve requests from it.
