What Claude for gym owners looks like day to day

Most of an owner's questions are small and frequent: is this member paid up, how did last month go, did the 6pm batch fill? With MyGymDesk connected, each of those is one line in Claude, answered from your records at the moment you ask.

The answers below come from Ironline Fitness, a demo gym in Bengaluru, in Claude on 5 Oct 2026. We have summarised what Claude came back with; the names, dates and figures are as it gave them.

Live in Claude's directory

MyGymDesk has been listed in Claude's connector directory since 5 Oct 2026. You find it in Claude under Customize → Connectors, choose Connect, sign in with your MyGymDesk login and approve. There is no key to copy and nothing to install. The listing itself is at claude.ai/directory/mygymdesk.

Once connected, MyGymDesk is there in any chat where you switch it on, from + → Connectors. Leave it off for chats that have nothing to do with the gym, and switch it on when you want your own numbers.

Your staff connect the same way, each with their own MyGymDesk login. On a Claude Team or Enterprise plan, an Owner adds the connector once for the organisation, and each person then connects with their own login.

Claude asks before it acts

Claude has its own permission setting for every connector tool: Always allow, Needs approval or Blocked, under Customize → Connectors → MyGymDesk → Tool permissions. For a custom connector, Claude starts every tool on Needs approval, so each call shows Claude's card with Allow once, Always allow and Decline until you change it.

MyGymDesk adds its own step underneath. Every change starts as a preview that changes nothing, and the preview ends with “Shall I go ahead?”. Nothing is made until you say yes, whether it is a check-in, a class booking, a new class, a lead, a follow-up note, an extension, a freeze, a class cancellation, a payment reminder or a WhatsApp template.

In that run, the extension took two confirmations: MyGymDesk's question in the chat, then Claude's own card before the change itself.

Small jobs Claude can take off your list

Beyond questions, Claude can make ten kinds of change in MyGymDesk. Here are three that each save a trip to the dashboard:

• Logging a sales call while it is fresh. “Log that I called lead Faisal Ahmed: interested, call back Friday.” Claude closed the follow-up and set the next call for Friday 9 Oct.
• Chasing one unpaid bill. “Send Lakshmi Venkat a payment reminder for BILL-2026-00004.” Claude previewed a ₹1,000 reminder by WhatsApp, asked “Shall I go ahead?” and went ahead only after the yes.
• Putting on an extra class. “Add a Zumba class on 8 October at 6pm at HSR Layout.” Claude added it for Thursday 8 Oct, 6–7pm, with 25 places, and nobody was messaged.
